Christmas Holidays

After Christmas my family are going away to Tauranga which will be fun. We have been there once before and had so much fun that we had to go back there. There are heaps of things there to do. My Dad has booked us in a holiday house. But when My auntie comes down from Hamilton me and my aunt get to stay in a five star hotel for one night!!!! Sadly we don't have any fun Christmas traditions in fact I don't think we have any at all. So yeah thats what I am doing for Christmas what are you doing??? Sadly this is my last blog post  :-( But will keep you up dated with what is happening though :-) So I guess this is goodbye.

Term 4 highlights

This term we have done some awesome stuff. Here are some of the things that I am going to put in my highlights for this year.

College

I kind of want to leave St Ben's and I kind of don't.  I am going to Onslow College next year, where I don't have to wear a uniform, I super happy about this.  I am feeling nervous about going to college because I might not make friends.  Luckily I have a few friends from my class that are going to the same college.

The things I would like to achieve is getting into the basketball team and their rugby team, because I really love playing both sports.  Some things I am looking forward to are making new friends.  Some things that I could find challenging are getting good grades.  Below is the logo for Onslow college, this logo is used on their sports uniform that I will hopefully be wearing if I get into the rugby or basketball team.

Speech

For my speech I did Why I don't like speeches. When I got up in front of the class I was so nervous my legs were shaking and I didn't even want to do it do I made up excuses like "oh sorry forgot my speech will have to do it tomorrow" and "I can't do it because I have a dry throat". It didn't really go as well as I would as hoped, I didn't look up enough at my classmates. This year the speeches have been much better I enjoyed listening to all of them because they were all good topics and good speeches about the topic. Yeah last speech of the year at St Benedict's school, but unfortunately I have to do another speech at College. YES JOB DONE NOW!!!!

Cherub

The picture above shows the CHERUB logo.CHERUB recruited an orphan, called James. Torchered him for 100 days in Basic Training. Then he went of to a mission capturing drug dealers, they call them selves KMG i am not sure what it stands for but they sell cocaine to other people who want it.

Speech

I am feeling really nervous about my speech.  My speech is titled "I don't like doing speeches".  I am not very excited but it is just one of those things you have to do.  One of the aspects that I want to improve on is looking up at the audience, and not reading off the paper, only use it for remembering something on my speech. Every year we have to do speeches, the reason I hate doing then is because it is soooo boring having to write one.  I would much rather be playing with my friends.

Space

I really liked this space topic because I wanted to learn about space. The thing I like about space is  the different types of planets and the fact that there could be other life forms, like us, out in the other solar systems/planets/galaxies. Titan is one of Saturn's moons, I found that out because of the space topic we have been learning about. I learned that you could actually live on Titan, but it would be very cold and I like warm climates. One day I would like to go the moon, I don't think that will happen because I will be too busy playing sports like rugby and tennis. Below is a picture of Titan orbiting Saturn.

So over all I really enjoyed the space topic and it was really fun learning more about space, sun, moon and the earth.

holidays

In the holidays I watched a movie called teenage mutant ninja turtles and i ate some popcorn and an ice cream.I also went away to Auckland to see my aunty and stayed up there for a week then came back home and my mum took of Monday to Wednesday and dad took of work Thursday to Friday.    

Production!!!

Last week we had the production and it was really good and we cut the duration time to 1 hour and half and i think it was because of the props were much Quicker this time round then last and i was in props so thanks to me as well. My favourite scene was room 9 and there dance because it was the most hardest as well. I was in tanited love and out of the year 7 and 8 it was the best dance that was cause i was in the dance. Next time i think we should have more microphones otherwise it would have been a little less longer than it was if we had more microphones. There was also the chair dance which was the hardest of them all beacause of the the chairs on the wooden floor cause you would slide

What I am looking forward to in the production

I am looking forward to my dance tainted love because we have some cool moves to show people my mum and dad and Cameron are coming. Cameron is really excited to watch my dance. We have been practicing for the last couple of weeks and it has turned out to be one of the best dance. I can not wait for the dance

Elections and Parliament

This week we have been leaning about elections and parliament and I have learned heaps about these thing here are some stuff I have learned. There are only 120 seats in parliament and that there is a act party and a Green Party.

Basketball

Basketball is the best sport because you run around lots so you can get fit. I think everyone should play basketball because you can get a team together and sign up have then have fun and play with your mates. Basketball is really easy to learn and here is a photo of a slam dunk witch i think are one of the best shot you can do apart from a 3 pointer

Art

This is is awesome art by me and it was really fun to make and I am very proud of this art

Egypt topic

What did you learn?

I learned what workers did because I did my A3 page on that and here are 2 quick facts about workers.
1. When the people of Egypt weren't farming the Pharaoh got them and put them to work.
2. It takes 35 people to take the slab up the ramp.

What activities did I learn from?

I learned most of the information from the power points that people did.

What activities did I enjoy the most?

The most fun activity was Astin's group on with the god dodge ball.

Gymnastics at Nairnville

I don't like Gymnastics at all but it is actually Quiet fun but i like the jump mat thing it is really fun to jump around.my favorite parts were the rings where you do a candle stick it is really fun. i improved on everything because i do not normally do Gum so yeah.

what did i learn this week

In the Queens birthday weekend i got a new bike it is a giant bike they are really good bikes we looked everywhere for one and we ended up getting it from cyclic science. So now me and my dad can go out riding in the mountain bike tracks and it is going to be so fun we are going to do one this weekend.

Book Groups

What group were you in? 

I was in Among the hidden by Margaret Peterson with Rory,Arthur and bernard and me. It was about this boy has to stay home for his whole life because you are only allowed two children and they have three and if the population police finds out the we kill him. Then one day he finds a another shadow named Jen. they meet up and Jen is a real daredevil.

What things went well?

In my group thing that went well are everyone brought there book and read to the right page.

 

What didn't go so well? 

The only thing that didn't go so well is that we talked over each other.

 What thing do you think you gained?

i learned to do read and explain the book every time we meet. 

When is was little I read.....

When is was little I read Tomas the tank engine it was a really good and popular at the time I read.

It is about Tomas he is a train and he has friends like Percy, Gorden and Toby plus more and he dose all these missions and helps his friend of they get stuck or need help to try and figure something out

holidays

In the holidays my family went up to Ohope for a holiday and we had loads of fun up there because there was a beach right across from us and we went there every day. Dad made us go on very long walks every day. We had a cool holiday house but it took a we while to get up there something like 8 hours and we also had to travel back again so that was another 8 hours. In the 2nd week of school holidays I watched a lot of movies one of them was the amazing spider man 2 and that was one of the best movies I have ever seen. The next thing you know is that you are back at school doing school work which I guess is not that bad. Overall I had a good holiday how about you?
